Role Description
Child & Adolescent Therapist (Independent Contractor)
Location: Sarasota, FL (In-Person with Telehealth Opportunities)
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Child & Adolescent Therapist to join our growing group psychotherapy practice in Sarasota, Florida. This position is ideal for a clinician who has strong experience working with children under the age of 14, while also maintaining the ability to effectively treat adolescents and teens.
This role is offered as an Independent Contractor (1099) position, with the potential for W-2 employment status for the right candidate.
The ideal clinician will be licensed in Florida as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT and demonstrate a strong clinical foundation in child development, family systems, and evidence-based interventions for youth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual therapy to children (primary focus), as well as adolescents/teens
- Offer family therapy and parent guidance to support child treatment goals
- Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Utilize developmentally appropriate, evidence-based therapeutic interventions
- Collaborate with parents, caregivers, schools, and other professionals as clinically indicated
- Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation
- Participate in case consultation and interdisciplinary collaboration as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience treating children under 14 (required) and adolescents (preferred)
- Strong skills in engaging children using developmentally appropriate modalities (e.g., play therapy, CBT, IFS-informed work, etc.)
- Ability to work with young adults and adults a would be preferred.
- Experience working with family dynamics and parent coaching
- Ability to balance clinical independence with collaborative teamwork
- Comfortable providing both in-person sessions in Sarasota and virtual telehealth servicesPosition Highlights:

Compensation:
- Therapists are riembursed based on a percentage of allowable payments by insurance companies or patient self pay. (Average $60-$100 per session paid the therapist).
- Payment is provided without waiting for insurance payment.
- Option to purchase group health insurance
- Make your own schedule with part time or full time availability.
- If a candidate is offered a W2 position, compensation will be discussed at that time. Employees do have the opportunity to receive health, dental and vision.
