Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our mental health and behavioral services team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in clinical counseling, with expertise in psychotherapy, behavioral health interventions, and patient assessment. This role offers an opportunity to work with diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults, providing comprehensive mental health support within a multidisciplinary environment. Duties

  • Conduct thorough clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine individual treatment needs.
  • Provide evidence-based psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and behavioral therapy tailored to client needs.
  • Facilitate individual, group, and family counseling sessions focused on mental health, developmental disabilities, PTSD care, addiction counseling, and crisis intervention.
  • Collaborate with medical professionals to coordinate integrated patient care plans while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards.
  • Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems efficiently for documentation, data collection, and case management purposes.
  • Engage in clinical research activities to support evidence-based practices and contribute to ongoing program development.
  • Manage intake procedures, develop treatment plans, and monitor patient progress through regular assessments and follow-up sessions.
  • Apply specialized skills in working with children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), developmental disabilities, special education needs, and geriatrics including Alzheimer’s care.
  • Participate in crisis management protocols and provide immediate intervention when necessary to ensure client safety.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding for billing purposes, and psychopharmacology considerations when applicable.

Skills

  • Extensive experience in psychotherapy techniques including motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and behavioral health interventions.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with children, adolescents, individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and those requiring special education accommodations.
  • Strong background in home & community care settings as well as hospital environments; familiarity with hospital-based patient care is highly desirable.
  • Excellent skills in crisis intervention, case management, patient assessment, and diagnostic evaluation within diverse clinical settings.
  • Proficiency in EMR systems for documentation and data collection; understanding of ICD/ICD-10/ICD coding standards for accurate record keeping.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to mental health conditions; experience working with individuals experiencing PTSD or addiction issues is advantageous.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams while maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines.
