Position Overview

The Lead Workplace Attendant is the on-site leader at client locations for Just Fare’s Snacks & Drinks program. This role combines hands-on service with program oversight, ensuring the workplace food experience runs smoothly, aligns with Just Fare’s hospitality standards, and supports sustainability goals.

In addition to fulfilling the core responsibilities of a Workplace Attendant, the Lead trains and supervises on-site attendants, coordinates daily service execution and ensures program performance meets expectations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys client interaction, and can balance operational detail with leadership.

Responsibilities

Program Oversight & Operations

  • Present a professional, outgoing and hospitable personality in a professional workplace or food service front of house setting
  • Strong ability to proactively identify client needs, make smart choices in line with company and client needs, and solve problems on the fly.
  • Act as the on-site point of contact for Snacks & Drinks operations.
  • Ensure all service areas (micro-kitchens, snack & beverage displays, coffee bars) are properly stocked, clean, and maintained.
  • Oversee and executes receiving, stocking, and inventory processes, including daily FIFO rotation and monthly smallwares counts.
  • Monitor Snack & Drink equipment functionality, escalate maintenance needs, and ensure safe operation.
  • Ensures all products are in stock and managed within budget through proper ordering, receiving, and management of inventory.

Team Leadership

  • Support and oversee Workplace Attendants.
  • Provide daily task direction and oversee completion of responsibilities.
  • Ensure high standards of cleanliness, hospitality, and service delivery.
  • Serve as the first point of escalation for team performance or client concerns.
  • Assist in hiring, training, and coaching team members.

Client & Guest Relations

  • Act as the daily liaison with client stakeholders for service adjustments, escalations, and updates.
  • Anticipate and respond to client and guest needs with a hospitality-forward approach.
  • Ensure program consistency with Just Fare’s sustainability, quality, and service standards.

Reporting

  • Provide daily and weekly updates to HQ on service performance, inventory, and staffing.
  • Track and report on waste, donations, and other key operational metrics.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 2+ years managing others including performance management, scheduling, and continuous training
  • 3+ years in a high traffic customer facing role with proven ability to build positive client relationships.
  • Knowledge of food products, sourcing and ingredients; with the ability to memorize and understand flavor profiles, nutritional facts and allergens.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, communication and patience
  • Exceptional customer service and attention to detail.
  • Attendance and punctuality is required with schedule flexibility determined by needs
  • Ability to work independently, be a self-sufficient problem solver and make sound decisions on-the-fly
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures
  • Computer literacy
  • Basic Food Handler Certification
  • Smartphone will be needed for communication
  • Experience with inventory management, ordering, receiving, stocking and proper rotation of perishables and compostables.

Schedule

Typical schedule is Monday through Friday with hours dependent on the service. You are responsible for managing your schedule, based on your shift availability, with your supervisor.

Shift Details: Start times will range from 5am to 7am Monday to Friday.
