Job Title: QA/QC Engineer-Lead Auditor – Oil & Gas
Location: On-site at Ras Laffan Industrial City (RLIC) & Mesaieed or other designated project sites
Contract Duration: 1 Year Full time Contract (Extendable)
Working Hours: 10 hours/day (including OT), 6 days/week

Our client, a global leader committed to engineering excellence and the advancement of safety and reliability, is seeking a highly experienced QA/QC Engineer / Lead Auditor to develop, implement, and manage comprehensive quality assurance programs across engineering design, procurement, fabrication, installation, hook-up, and commissioning of oil & gas production facilities. The role involves close coordination with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure full compliance with ISO 9001, project specifications, and contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement Project Quality Assurance Plans (QAPs), Project Quality Plans, and QC procedures according to client and project standards.
- Prepare, review, and approve Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, inspection procedures, construction execution plans, and installation procedures.
- Review subcontractor quality documentation, ensuring alignment with project and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate daily with clients and Third Party Inspectors (TPI) regarding all quality-related activities.
- Review and approve Material Test Certificates, receiving inspection reports, and vendor documentation including Manufacturing Data Books (MDR).
- Identify, monitor, and escalate site quality issues; ensure timely corrective and preventive actions.
- Support QC inspectors in resolving observations from daily surveillance and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Maintain comprehensive records of inspections, materials, and quality documentation; support weekly progress reporting.
- Prepare Mechanical Acceptance documentation and full QC Dossiers.
- Assist the QA/QC Manager in implementing the approved Project Quality Plan and Integrated Management System (IMS) procedures.
- Conduct internal audits and participate in quality performance monitoring, NCR/CAR management, and KPI reporting.
- Provide QA/QC input into procurement documents including MR, TBE, and MAR.
- Actively participate in material receiving, installation, pre-commissioning, and commissioning activities.
- Organize and witness Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) for DCS cabinets, LV switchboards, UPS systems, transformers, marshalling cabinets, F&G/ESD cabinets, and other instrumentation packages.
- Ensure full compliance with QCP, MS, ITP, Client Specifications, IFC drawings, and applicable international standards.
Minimum Requirements
- Engineering Degree (Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation preferred).
- 10 years’ QA/QC experience in the Oil & Gas industry, with a minimum 5 years in onshore gas facilities.
- Strong background in QA/QC management across EPC project phases.
- Excellent knowledge of ISO 9001; ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification is mandatory.
- Proven experience in QC coordination and inspection activities during procurement, fabrication, installation, hook-up, and commissioning.
- Strong understanding of international standards and major client standards (SABIC, QP, QATARGAS, RLOC/QCHEM, QSTEC).
- Excellent communication, leadership, analytical, and team coordination skills.
Skills & Expertise
- High adaptability to complex project environments.
- Strong documentation and technical writing skills (ITPs, Method Statements, QC procedures).
- Ability to manage and lead a skilled QC workforce.
- Understanding of area/zone classification and selection of electrical/instrumentation equipment for hazardous areas.
- Vendor document review expertise.

Salary will be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience during the interview stage with the client.
