Job Summary We are seeking a reliable, skilled Lead Automotive Technician to join our team at Jermantown Shell. In this role, you will diagnose, and repair all makes and models of foreign and domestic vehicles in our full-service repair shop. We perform a wide range of services, including brake repairs, oil changes, tire rotations, transmission work, state safety inspections, and emissions testing/repairs. Responsibilities

  • Diagnose vehicle issues accurately and efficiently using diagnostic tools
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on automobiles, including engines, brakes, suspensions, transmissions, and more
  • Conduct Virginia state safety inspections and emissions testing/repairs (if certified)
  • Complete preventive maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Stay current with automotive technology and best practices

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing all makes and models of vehicles (foreign and domestic vehicles)
  • ASE certification (preferred/strongly encouraged)
  • Virginia Safety Inspection license and DEQ Emissions Testing & Repair certifications (preferred but not required—we provide paid training and incentives for obtaining these and other certifications)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical ability to lift heavy parts and work in a fast-paced shop environment

Pay: $85,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
