Lead Automotive Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Part-Time Diagnostic Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and diagnostics, particularly with both foreign and domestic vehicles with a emphasis on german makes. This role requires mechanical diagnostics knowledge and the ability to work with automotive electrical systems, ensuring that all vehicles are maintained to the highest standards.

Duties

• Perform comprehensive automotive diagnostics to identify issues and recommend solutions on pre-owned vehicles of a variety of Makes/Models
• Maintain and repair automotive electrical systems, ensuring functionality and safety.
• Perform light repairs (brakes, fluids, basic engine service, suspension components, minor electrical, interior/exterior fixes)
• Conduct routine maintenance on vehicles, including oil changes, brake jobs, and brake inspections.
• Utilize mechanical knowledge to repair various vehicle components, including engines, transmissions, and exhaust systems.
• Document all repairs and services performed accurately in the system.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Automotive Technician, preferably in a dealership or independent shop setting (Manufacture Master Technician Certification or 4+ years of Independent Shop Experience)
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive diagnostics and repairs.
• Familiarity with BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen/ Audi
• Ability to work with automotive electrical systems effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
