We’re hiring a Lead Baker to help us meet our high demand for hand-rolled, boiled, and baked fresh bagels each day. You’ll start early (4am–5am) and work in a fast-paced, hot kitchen environment while taking ownership of the bake from open to close. This is a hands-on, physical role — if you love to move, hustle, and take pride in consistent, high-quality work, you’ll fit right in.

What You’ll Do:
  • Lead all baking procedures and ensure recipes and processes are followed correctly
  • Prep, proof, boil, top, and bake bagels to spec
  • Open bake and manage production timing throughout the shift
  • Mix, weigh, knead, cut, and shape dough accurately and efficiently
  • Make all dough mixtures in a timely manner using correct procedures
  • Understand dough rotation, shelf life, and quality control standards
  • Monitor dough quality throughout the process
  • Operate ovens, mixers, and other bakery equipment
  • Bake cookies and other side items
  • Manage cream cheese prep and inventory
  • Complete inventory counts and assist with ordering
  • Responsible for opening the store on time and able to close the entire bakery
  • Maintain a clean, sanitized, and organized workspace; set up and break down workstations
  • Ensure all equipment meets sanitation and safety standards
  • Provide assistance to other bakers as needed
  • Support front of house operations during busy periods, including register use and food prep
  • Maintain front lobby cleanliness and provide excellent customer service

Schedule & Availability:
  • Must be able to start work between 4am–5am
  • Weekend availability required
