Lead Barista

Responsibilities

• Lead daily café operations, ensuring efficient service and high-quality beverage and food preparation.
• Train, mentor, and motivate team members to deliver outstanding customer service and adhere to food safety protocols.
• Oversee cash handling, POS transactions using systems such as Square, Trackman and Woosh, ensuring accuracy and accountability.
• Manage time effectively to prioritize tasks like serving customers, restocking supplies, and maintaining cleanliness.
• Support sales goals by engaging with customers, recommending products, and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
• Maintain food handling standards by following safety guidelines for food preparation and serving.
• Assist with inventory management, ordering supplies, and ensuring proper food safety practices are followed.

Experience

• Proven barista experience in a fast-paced café or retail environment with a strong focus on customer service.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience within the food industry is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Square Trackman and Woosh for cashiering and sales tracking.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, food handling procedures, and basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations.
• Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask efficiently during busy periods.
• Strong communication skills to lead a team effectively and interact positively with customers.
