LEAD BARISTA — FULL TIME

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Lead Barista to join our vibrant team in a full-time capacity. As the Lead Barista, you will be the cornerstone of our coffee service, inspiring your team to deliver exceptional customer experiences while maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Minimum 1–2 years of barista experience in a specialty or high-volume café environment
• Valid NYC Food Handler's Protection Certificate (required)
• Strong knowledge of espresso technique, milk steaming, and drink preparationReliable, punctual, and professionalComfortable working independently and as part of a small team
• Monitor inventory levels regularly, place orders as needed, and maintain accurate stock records to prevent shortages or waste.

Skills

• Proven experience in food service management with a strong background in coffee or barista roles.
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards, food handling procedures, kitchen management.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly while managing multiple responsibilities efficiently.
• Experience in inventory control, budgeting, shift management, and food production within a quick service & coffee shop setting.
• Strong customer service instincts — you remember regulars and make people feel welcomed.
• Experience with Square POS or similar point-of-sale systems.

PREFERRED AVAILABILITY

Monday through Friday, mornings and daytime hours
Exact schedule to be confirmed upon hire
