Bartender Responsibilities
- Mixing cocktails, pouring beer & wine
- Memorize our cocktail recipes & consistently execute
- Engage & build rapport with our guests
- Working clean, setting up the bar to our specifications
- Always seek to be a team player
- Thoroughly completing assigned sidework
- Staying calm under high volume, high pressure situations
- Work efficiently & multitask while providing the best possible guest experience
Lead Bartender Responsibilities
- Conduct weekly wine, beer and liquor inventory counts
- Conduct weekly bar supply inventory and ordering (i.e. citrus, garnishes, bar picks, glassware, etc.), sending order to General Manager for final approval.
- Follow schedule and recipe guides to ensure bar syrup stock levels are maintained to specified par levels.
- Seasonal cocktail creation and new menu development:
- Assist in seasonal menu creation and bar staff trainings
- Work with the General Manager and executive Chef to ensure brand cohesion and cross-utilization of ingredients when possible.
- Stay up to date on training, technique and product knowledge to ensure quality control and proper service standards.
- Supervise and train new bartenders on basic overview and philosophy of cocktail program; this includes following recipe guides, proper technique, customer service standards, cleanliness and organization.
- Work with the General Manager to develop promotional events, including cocktail specials.
- Regular communication with General Manager regarding issues with staff and/or general bar operations.
- Leading by example; motivating and inspiring the bar staff through word and action.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in the bar/restaurant industry
- Must be 21 years old or over & authorized to work in the U.S.
- Hospitality-focused
- Clean & neat appearance
- Exceptional work ethic & positive attitude
- Meticulous to detail & highly organized
- Ability to follow direction set forth by the management team
- Basic knowledge of classic cocktails, craft spirits, wine & beer
- TIPS certified a plus!
