Lead Bartender

Be part of a new and fun experience, the Venetian Soda Lounge in the Soda Plant on Pine Street in Burlington.

We focus on building an immersive speakeasy experience with a state of the art listening room. Our focus is high quality service, amazing cocktails, relaxed, inviting environment.

The right candidate will help maintain the high standards of the Venetian Soda Lounge.

Every weekend is required.

Pay is base $16/hr plus tips.

Event catering/bartending experience preferred.

Skills and knowledge

• 2+ years of cocktail experience required
• Strong communication skills with staff and guests
• Understanding point of sale computer systems
• Meet regulations to sell alcoholic beverages
• Knowledge of beverage operations
• CURRENT Vermont DLC certified
• Must have the ability to read and speak English
• Work evenings and weekends
• Work in a face paced environment

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Bartending
• Assisting with menu development
• Training staff
• Maintaining quality control of all drinks/food being prepared and served
• Ensuring daily operational procedures are followed by other staff (opening/closing procedures)
• Assisting with inventory maintenance
• Assisting with staff scheduling
• Basic food prep
• Implementing drinks and food to spec
• Stocking & prepping food, beverages, and soda syrups for service
• Checking IDs
• Maintaining cleanliness standards
• Meeting health regulations
• Assisting with serving, hosting etc as needed.
• Overseeing event preparations and implementation (live events & mobile events)

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
