Lead Bartender

Coastal Reserve is a fine dining catering operation specializing in elevated onsite and offsite culinary experiences throughout Michigan’s coastline. We operate with the standards of a restaurant kitchen — applied to weddings, private estates, corporate events, and luxury gatherings. In addition to Coastal Reserve, our beautiful space will also serve as a full service Italian concept named Heritage Social.

Our culinary direction is shaped in collaboration with Rick Bower, Executive Chef/Partner of Coast 236, recognized by the James Beard Foundation and Where Food Comes From, Inc..

The Role

The Bartender is a key position responsible in the day-to-day operations of Coastal Reserve and Heritage Social bar operations. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this individual will play a key role in our team by building guest connections, possessing an intimate knowledge of our menus, executing events, carrying themself with grace and positivity, and upholding the elevated standards that define our brand.

This is an opportunity for a serious culinary professional who thrives in both structured dining environments and dynamic catering execution.

Core Responsibilities

  • Accurately placing guest orders
  • Execute menus with precision and consistency for onsite and offsite events
  • Support team development by being a team player
  • Uphold food safety and sanitation compliance
  • Responsibly serve alcohol and adhere to all related laws

The Ideal Candidate

  • 3+ years experience bartending
  • Experience executing both plated and large-scale events
  • Strong organizational skills and calm presence under fast paced environment
  • Passion for seasonal ingredients and responsibly sourced seafood
  • Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends during peak season
