Position Summary
Ryan Specialty Benefits (RSB) is seeking a seasoned Lead Business Systems Analyst to drive our enterprise-wide transformation initiative. This strategic role serves as the primary liaison between business and technology teams, shaping the modernization and unification of RSB’s operations across underwriting, claims, distribution, actuarial, finance, and support services.
What will your job entail?
Key Responsibilities:

Partner with stakeholders to gather and document requirements across the entire RSB lifecycle, from RFP intake to marketing, underwriting, policy administration, and claims.

Facilitate requirements workshops and convert business needs into Epics, Features, User Stories, and acceptance criteria in an Agile framework.

Prepare comprehensive workflow and system design documentation, detailing business logic, data mappings, integration requirements, API payloads, and UI behavior.

Lead solution design for efficient, end-to-end processes across Microsoft Dynamics 365 (CRM), Inspire IPAS, Insurity Pro Suite, Coherent Spark, and the Enterprise Data Hub (EDH).

Define and support integration criteria for seamless data flow among CRM, workbenches, rating engines, policy and claims systems, and data repositories.

Document and optimize the four IPAS workbenches (RFP Intake, Marketing & Placement, Underwriting, Claims), ensuring alignment with business operations and standardized integration logic.

Support SIT/UAT cycles and ensure accurate test data setup.

Collaborate with architecture and APIM teams on cross-system orchestration and integration.

Drive adoption of standardized processes, rules, terminology, and data flows; maintain alignment with business glossaries.

Develop reporting requirements, KPIs, and data lineage with EDH, Actuarial, and Finance teams.

Ensure compliance with HIPAA, PII, data governance, and information security requirements.

Maintain thorough, up-to-date documentation, SOPs, design specifications, and training materials.

Participate in governance meetings and change control activities.

Mentor junior analysts, partner with cross-functional teams, and interface with external vendors.

Present analyses and solution recommendations to senior leadership, including the COO, CTO, and Executive Steering Committee.

Insurity SureMGA, Inspire IPAS, Dynamics 365 Sales, Coherent Spark, PowerBI, Azure Enterprise Data Hub with Azure Databricks.
Qualifications
Education
-
Bachelor's in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Business Administration required. Any other related discipline or commensurate work experience considered; Master's preferred.
Experience
-
Possess more than ten years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, particularly in areas such - employee benefits administration, with preferred focus on specialized line of business medical stop loss, TPA operations, managing general agency, or managing general underwriting; Or MBA with 8 years of experience.

Demonstrate strong expertise in underwriting, policy administration, claims processing, and rating methodologies.

Experience with cloud-based SaaS policy administration solutions, workflow orchestration tools, CRM solutions, and advanced rating engines. Experience with Insurity SureMGA, Inspire Innovations IPAS, MS Dynamics 365 Sales, Enterprise Data Hub, or Coherent Spark are a plus.

Participated in major transformation projects or enterprise system modernization efforts.
Certifications (Preferred)
-
Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Certified of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA) or Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent.

Certifications in Microsoft Dynamics, Azure, or Agile frameworks are a plus.

The target salary range for this position is $140,000.00 - $175,000.00 annually.
The wage range for this role considers many factors, such as training, transferable skills, work experience, licensure and certification, business needs, and market demands. The pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. Full-time roles are eligible for bonuses and benefits.
