Lead Camp Counselor

Job Overview

Join our team at TXI Karate as a Lead Camp Counselor and help create an exciting, structured, and positive environment for our summer campers!

In this role, you will lead daily camp activities, keep kids engaged and active, and serve as a strong, positive role model for elementary-aged children. We’re looking for someone who brings energy, leadership, and a genuine love for working with kids.

This is a hands-on, high-energy position where you’ll help create a fun and memorable camp experience while ensuring a safe and well-organized environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a group of elementary-aged children throughout daily camp activities
• Run and participate in games, drills, and structured activities to keep campers engaged
• Maintain a safe, organized, and positive environment at all times
• Manage behavior appropriately and encourage teamwork, respect, and focus
• Follow and help execute the daily camp schedule
• Communicate with parents as needed in a professional and friendly manner
• Work with other staff to ensure camps run smoothly
• Uphold all safety standards and policies, including proper supervision and child welfare

Qualifications

• Experience working with children (babysitting, camps, daycare, tutoring, etc.) preferred
• Strong leadership, reliability, and communication skills
• High energy and willingness to actively participate in physical activities
• Ability to manage a group of children in a structured setting
• Positive, patient, and professional attitude

Bonus Qualifications

• CPR/First Aid Certification
• Background in education, coaching, or youth programs

Additional Information

• Part-time position
• 5 hours per day, 4 days per week
• All candidates will be background checked

Pay: $21.33 per hour
