We are looking for a Lead Caregiver / Resident Care Supervisor to help lead daily operations, support our caregivers, assist with scheduling, and provide hands-on resident care. This is not a regular caregiver position. We are looking for someone who has previous leadership experience and is comfortable taking responsibility for the shift, the team, and the overall flow of the home.

Duties

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of caregiving staff, ensuring quality care delivery aligned with best practices in assisted living, nursing home, or home & community care settings
• Provide hands-on caregiving support including assisting with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), personal care, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and mobility assistance using equipment such as Hoyer lifts
• Lead resident-centered care planning meetings to develop personalized care strategies that respect individual preferences and needs
• Train, mentor, and evaluate caregiving staff on proper procedures for Alzheimer’s care, dementia management, behavior management techniques, and emergency response protocols
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including first aid procedures and infection control standards
• Maintain accurate documentation using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems for resident progress notes, medication logs, incident reports, and shift reports
• Support residents’ social engagement by facilitating activities that promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being

Ideal Candidate

The ideal person for this role is someone who is already a strong caregiver and ideally in a leadership role. This person should be confident, dependable, warm with residents, professional with families, and capable of helping management run the home smoothly.

We are not looking for someone who only wants to clock in and do basic caregiving tasks. We are looking for someone who takes pride in the home, notices problems before they become bigger issues, and helps lead by example.

Requirements

• Proven experience in senior care environments such as assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or personal care homes; long-term care experience highly preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge of Alzheimer’s disease, dementia care, memory support strategies, and working with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges
• Valid certification in first aid and CPR; additional certifications in medication administration or behavior management are a plus
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise a caregiving team effectively while maintaining a positive work environment
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with residents’ families, healthcare professionals, and team members
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting residents safely using Hoyer lifts or similar equipment; comfortable working in fast-paced environments requiring attention to detail
• Valid driver’s license preferred for community outings or resident transportation responsibilities

Pay: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
