Lead Carpenter

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Lead Carpenter who can take charge on job sites, lead a crew, and ensure projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. This role requires strong leadership, hands-on carpentry skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise carpentry crews on residential and commercial projects

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications

• Coordinate daily job site activities and ensure timelines are met

• Perform all aspects of carpentry work (framing, finish, installation, etc.)

• Maintain quality control and ensure work meets company standards

• Communicate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors

• Ensure job site safety and compliance with regulations

• Train and mentor junior carpenters and apprentices

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of carpentry experience (lead or supervisory experience preferred)

• Strong knowledge of construction methods, tools, and materials

• Ability to read and understand blueprints and project plans

• Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills

• Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

• Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various conditions

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with both residential and commercial projects

• Strong finish carpentry skills

• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, or other trades is a plus
