Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various carpentry techniques and a proven ability to lead projects from start to finish. This role requires a hands-on approach, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with other tradespeople. As a Lead Carpenter, you will be responsible for overseeing carpentry tasks, ensuring quality workmanship, and maintaining safety standards on the job site.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate carpentry projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within specifications.
- Perform mold remediation as needed to maintain safe working conditions.
- Execute heavy lifting tasks as required for various installations and repairs.
- Carry out caulking for weatherproofing and sealing applications.
- Construct frameworks for buildings using frame carpentry techniques.
- Lay tiles accurately in various settings, ensuring proper alignment and finish.
- Install fixtures such as cabinets, countertops, and shelving with precision.
- Apply siding materials effectively to enhance building aesthetics and protection.
- Provide maintenance person services as needed for minor repairs or adjustments.
- Read and interpret schematics to ensure accurate project execution.
- Work with plaster materials for finishing touches on walls and ceilings.
Skills
- Proficiency in mold remediation techniques is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
- Strong skills in caulking applications for various surfaces.
- Expertise in frame carpentry with a focus on structural integrity.
- Experience in tile laying with attention to detail in design and layout.
