Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Philadelphia, PA. As Lead Maker, you will support the production process across a variety of tasks, working closely with our Head of Production and small studio team. From receiving deliveries and mixing glaze to assisting with photography and content, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our pieces meet the highest standards of craftsmanship and creativity.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Cross-train on all production tasks led by our Head of Production
- Maintain inventory of raw materials
- Mix glaze and assist with glaze application
- Load and unload kilns with care and attention to detail
- Conduct quality control checks and basic product testing
- Capture product photography for our website and marketing
- Support social media content with short video/photo creation
- Track production time and ensure production targets are met
Mandatory Qualifications and Skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Comfortable working with your hands and learning technical processes
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently or in a team
- Good communication skills
- Physical stamina to lift/move up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- Demonstrated ability to do detailed handwork (jewelry maker, textiles, fine dining cook)
- Basic photography and/or videography
- Experience with social media content creation
- Comfort using Google Sheets or other digital tracking tools
