Lead Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA)

Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Lead Home Health Aides to provide essential support and care to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to improving the quality of life for clients, particularly those with developmental disabilities, dementia, or other health challenges. This role requires a blend of caregiving skills, empathy, and the ability to work effectively within various care settings such as assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and home care environments.

*Applicants that meet our base requirements and display a high level of commitment to the position will be guaranteed 40 hours weekly, upon official offer.*

Duties

• Provide personal care services including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance.
• Assist clients with mobility and transferring safely between locations.
• Remind medications as prescribed and monitor client health conditions.
• Perform catheter care and assist with other medical needs as required.
• Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote mental and emotional well-being.
• Support clients with daily living tasks such as meal preparation and light housekeeping.
• Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in condition to supervising staff.
• Ensure a safe and clean environment for clients by following health and safety protocols.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of CHHA (Certified Home Health Aide) experience required.
• Must be able to serve as a lead caregiver and provide support across multiple client cases.
• Flexible availability required, including the ability to adapt to varying schedules and client needs.
• Must be willing to act as a backup caregiver for all assigned clients when needed.
• Ability and willingness to commute up to 1.5 hours required.
• Must have experience training and mentoring new employees.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills preferred.
• Certification in CPR is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
• Knowledge of dementia care practices is beneficial.
• Ability to assist with various personal care tasks including catheter management.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
• Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
