Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Lead Home Health Aides to provide essential support and care to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to improving the quality of life for clients, particularly those with developmental disabilities, dementia, or other health challenges. This role requires a blend of caregiving skills, empathy, and the ability to work effectively within various care settings such as assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and home care environments.
*Applicants that meet our base requirements and display a high level of commitment to the position will be guaranteed 40 hours weekly, upon official offer.*
Duties
- Provide personal care services including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting assistance.
- Assist clients with mobility and transferring safely between locations.
- Remind medications as prescribed and monitor client health conditions.
- Perform catheter care and assist with other medical needs as required.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Support clients with daily living tasks such as meal preparation and light housekeeping.
- Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in condition to supervising staff.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for clients by following health and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of CHHA (Certified Home Health Aide) experience required.
- Must be able to serve as a lead caregiver and provide support across multiple client cases.
- Flexible availability required, including the ability to adapt to varying schedules and client needs.
- Must be willing to act as a backup caregiver for all assigned clients when needed.
- Ability and willingness to commute up to 1.5 hours required.
- Must have experience training and mentoring new employees.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills preferred.
- Certification in CPR is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
- Knowledge of dementia care practices is beneficial.
- Ability to assist with various personal care tasks including catheter management.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
