Lead Childcare Educator

Responsibilities

• Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development principles, including literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods.
• Lead classroom activities that support early intervention strategies and special education needs, ensuring inclusive learning experiences for all children.
• Manage classroom environments effectively through strong classroom management techniques, behavior management strategies, and routine organization to foster a safe and engaging space.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists to support children’s holistic growth in areas such as childhood development, social skills, and emotional well-being.
• Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor progress and tailor instruction accordingly.
• Oversee daily childcare routines including toddler care, preschool activities, and daycare operations while maintaining compliance with safety standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development related to early childhood education topics such as tutoring, working with children with special needs, and early intervention practices.

Skills

• Extensive experience in classroom management and lesson planning within early childhood education settings.
• Strong understanding of childhood development stages and age-appropriate teaching strategies for toddlers through preschoolers.
• Knowledge of curriculum development techniques across various educational frameworks including Montessori approaches.
• Proven ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds, including those requiring special education or additional support services.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families, colleagues, and external specialists.
• Familiarity with classroom experience involving standardized testing procedures and child welfare practices.
