Responsibilities
- Implement dynamic lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, incorporating literacy education, math, and physical education methods to support holistic development.
- Foster a positive classroom atmosphere through effective behavior management techniques and personalized attention to individual needs.
- Support children’s social-emotional growth by encouraging cooperation, communication skills, and conflict resolution strategies.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists to develop tailored early intervention strategies for children requiring additional support or special education services.
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment that adheres to child welfare standards and promotes active learning through age-appropriate activities for toddlers, preschoolers, and young students.
- Track developmental progress using standardized methods and provide regular updates to parents or guardians regarding their child's achievements.
- Engage children in physical activities, arts and crafts, literacy exercises, and other educational experiences that promote childhood development and classroom engagement.
- Follow all state licensing and center policies and procedures.
- Participate in all staff meetings and trainings and keep up with professional development.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of early childhood education principles, including curriculum development, classroom management, and behavior management techniques.
- Proven experience working with children across various age groups such as toddlers and preschoolers in daycare or private school settings.
- Strong understanding of special education needs, early intervention strategies, and literacy education methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, and specialists while fostering a supportive learning environment.
- Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate early education techniques, and standardized testing practices.
- Demonstrated classroom experience with lesson planning, teaching physical education activities, tutoring in core subjects like math or literacy, and managing diverse student needs.
- Knowledge of childhood development milestones along with experience in childcare settings such as daycare or preschool environments.
