Lead Commercial HVAC Installer

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled HVAC Installer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and related mechanical systems. Responsibilities

• Install HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems according to schematics and design specifications.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and HVAC design plans to ensure precise installation.
• Conduct system troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment.
• Perform maintenance tasks on existing HVAC/R equipment to ensure optimal operation and longevity.
• Assist with plumbing connections related to HVAC systems and ensure proper integration with property infrastructure.
• Utilize welding skills when necessary for ductwork fabrication or repairs.
• Operate a variety of tools and equipment safely, including refrigerant handling tools, welding apparatus, and mechanical repair instruments.
• Conduct field service visits for troubleshooting, repairs, or upgrades at client locations.
• Maintain detailed records of work performed, system configurations, and parts used for each project or service call.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and building codes during all installation and repair activities.
• Support property maintenance tasks as needed to uphold the integrity of HVAC systems within various facilities.
• Drive company vehicles safely while adhering to all traffic laws; valid driver’s license required.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while maintaining high quality standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience in construction, HVAC installation, or service technician roles with a strong mechanical background.
• Knowledge of schematics, HVAC design principles, refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration if applicable.
• Familiarity with plumbing systems related to HVAC setups and appliance repair experience is a plus.
• Mechanical knowledge of HVAC/R systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration units, and property maintenance equipment.
• Hands-on experience with field service operations involving equipment repair and maintenance tasks.
• Ability to read technical drawings accurately and follow detailed instructions precisely.
• Experience operating diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters; familiarity with welding techniques is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols related to refrigerant handling (including ammonia), welding procedures, and electrical systems.
• Mechanical or technical training certification preferred; relevant licenses or certifications are a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex HVAC issues efficiently.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to operate company vehicles safely at all times. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.62 - $35.27 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
