Overview
The Lead Conversion Specialist is responsible for engaging inbound and outbound leads, qualifying prospects, and scheduling appointments for the sales team. This role plays a critical part in the sales funnel by turning initial interest into confirmed meetings.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to new leads via phone, email, text, or chat
- Qualify leads by understanding needs, timeline, and fit
- Communicate value propositions clearly to prospects
- Schedule appointments for sales representatives
- Maintain accurate records of interactions in CRM systems
- Follow up consistently with leads who have not yet booked
- Handle objections and provide basic information to move leads forward
- Meet or exceed daily/weekly appointment-setting targets
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to improve conversion rates
Required Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in sales, customer service, or call center roles
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Persuasive and confident phone presence
- Ability to handle objections and rejection professionally
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, Acculynx, JobTread)
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in lead generation or appointment setting
