Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Cost Control Engineer with a strong civil engineering background to oversee and manage cost control activities for large-scale construction projects. This role involves developing and implementing cost control systems, tracking project budgets, analyzing cost performance, and ensuring efficient resource allocation to meet project objectives. The ideal candidate will work closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to provide accurate cost estimates, identify potential risks, and recommend corrective actions to keep projects within budget and schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain cost control procedures for construction projects.
• Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and provide timely cost analysis reports.
• Collaborate with project teams to forecast costs and assess financial risks.
• Review and validate change orders, submittals, and invoices to ensure compliance with budget constraints.
• Ensure cost optimization strategies are adhered to without compromising project quality.
• Provide regular financial updates to senior management and clients.
• Lead the cost control team and mentor junior engineers to maintain effective cost tracking and reporting standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience (8+ years) in cost control for civil engineering projects.
• Strong understanding of cost estimating, project scheduling, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in cost control software (e.g., Procore, SAP, or similar tools).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Leadership experience with the ability to mentor and manage a team.
