Educational Qualifications:

Illinois DCFS Director Qualifications:

• a minimum of an Associate Degree in child development or early childhood education OR 64 semester hours in any discipline with a minimum of 21 hours of college credit in child development, early childhood education or early childhood special education

And one of the following:

• Gateways to Opportunity Level I Illinois Director Credential OR -3 semester hours of college credit in administration, leadership, or management

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the daily care and education of children while engaging in lots of fun activities.
• Implements Kiddie Academy’s Life Essential curriculum.
• Prepares and implements classroom lesson plans, program, and schedule.
• Adhere to Kiddie Academy’s policy with regards to documenting and implementing daily activities.
• Assist the director as needed with Academy operations.
• Responsible for handling many different obligations from being in the classroom, opening/closing the academy, to answering the telephone.
• Daily planning, management, and supervision of the classroom and children.
• Maintain compliance with Kiddie Academy standards.
