Lead Dental Assistant

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced bilingual Lead Dental Assistant to join our vibrant dental team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily clinical operations, support the dental team in delivering exceptional patient care, and ensure the highest standards of infection control and patient safety. Your leadership will help streamline chairside procedures, manage dental records, and foster a welcoming environment for patients of all ages.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate chairside assisting during a variety of dental procedures, including restorative, endodontic, implants and oral surgery.
  • Manage patient flow efficiently by preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing instruments, and ensuring all supplies are stocked and ready
  • Assist with taking X-ray images, including 3D scans when applicable, while adhering to HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols
  • Educate patients on oral health care practices, post-treatment instructions, and answer questions about procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety standards related to infection control, HIPAA privacy rules, and OSHA regulations

Skills

  • Proficiency in dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding specific to dental procedures
  • Must be a team player
  • Strong knowledge of infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures within a dental clinic setting
  • Skilled in taking X-rays—including digital imaging—and operating advanced equipment like 3D scanners for comprehensive diagnostics
  • Ability to perform vital signs assessment and monitor patient comfort during procedures
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with dentists, hygienists, front office staff—including dental reception—and patients of all ages

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
