Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Dental Assistant to join our vibrant dental team. Fee for service, private practice focusing on quality and patient experience. Hours

Monday-Thursday 08:00am - 05:00pm

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise dental assisting staff, providing training, mentorship, and performance feedback to ensure high standards of patient care and clinic efficiency
• Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and maintained according to infection control protocols
• Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, orthodontics, implants, and other specialty treatments
• Manage patient flow by greeting patients, updating medical histories, taking vital signs, and ensuring accurate documentation in electronic medical records (EMR systems) such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix
• Operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners while adhering to HIPAA regulations and safety standards
• Maintain comprehensive medical documentation and records, including medical coding and ensuring compliance with HIPAA privacy policies
• Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments with dental receptionists and managing patient communications effectively

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with expertise in chairside assisting across various specialties.
• Proficiency with Dentrix
• CEREC experience would be a plus
• Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners safely and accurately
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy and data security
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing medical records and documentation
• Leadership qualities with the ability to train staff on four-handed dentistry techniques and maintain high standards of infection control

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
