Location: Lincoln Park, Chicago, IL

Job Type: Full-Time (30–35 hours/week)

Compensation: $28–$34/hr., dependent on experience

Schedule: Monday–Thursday only (no weekends)

• Monday & Tuesday: 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM
• Wednesday & Thursday: 1:30 PM – 8:00 PM

As the Lead Dental Assistant, you'll be responsible for assisting with dental procedures and sterilization, and for interacting with patients to ensure they feel comfortable and informed about their treatment. You'll work alongside a group of passionate and experienced dental professionals committed to providing top-notch care and exceptional customer service to our patients. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and possesses excellent communication skills.

• Provide chairside clinical support to the dentist and hygienist through charting, patient education, and operatory set-up and clean-up
• Skilled in capturing intraoral and extraoral photographs, as well as taking digital X-rays
• Comfortable with intraoral scanning technology (iTero, CEREC, or similar)
• Perform dental charting and enter patient treatment plans using Open Dental software
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient charts
• Fabricate and place temporary crowns and restorations
• Comfortably start and complete an in-office whitening
• Adjust and deliver night guards
• Comfortable packing cord
• Complete sterilization processes for instruments, equipment, and operatories
• Educate patients on the importance of their oral health and provide home care and postoperative instructions
• Work collaboratively with the team on scheduling, ensuring an exceptional patient experience, and maintaining the condition of the practice and equipment
• A minimum of 6–8+ years of professional experience in dental assisting (mandatory)
• Proficiency with Open Dental or a comparable practice management platform
• Consistent reliability, punctuality, and strong attention to detail
• Energetic personality with a great sense of humor who loves their work
