Requirements
- Take X-rays
- Good manual dexterity
- Ability to build rapport with patients
- Organize and maintain lab equipment,
- Sterilization of instruments and equipment
- MUST have minimum 5 years experience as a Lead Dental Assistant
- MUST be able to fabricate temporary crowns.
- MUST be able to use digital scanner
- MUST have knowledge of ordering dental supplies and maintaining office budget for supplies
- MUST be able to direct flow of back office. To ensure patients are seen in a timely and efficient manner.
- Computer proficiency and the ability to learn new programs
- Providing excellent customer service to all patients and visitors
- Superior working knowledge of dental procedures and terminology
- Provide comprehensive post-operative dental procedures to patients.
Responsibilities
- Capable of fabricating a temporary crowns and bridges
- Capable of packing cord
- Ensuring all dental equipment is maintained according to health and safety regulations
- Assist the dentist during procedures by providing chairside support and managing instruments.
- Ensure proper sterilization of dental tools and maintain a clean working environment.
- Works with office manager to ensure all assistants are completing required tasks in a timely manner.
- Aids in training of assistants to meet requirements of doctors
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
- Understanding of health & safety regulations
- Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plus
- Good computer skills
