Lead Dental Assistant needed in Federal Way

Duties

• Monitor and prioritize workflow of the dental assistants.
• Chairside assisting if needed
• Maintain office records and supplies for clinical area.
• Maintain and order clinical supplies & be the liaison between doctor and supply company
• Train new assistant hires and demonstrate standard operating procedures within the practice
• Keep the dentist(s) and clinical team members informed of appointment changes, overruns and patients in the waiting room
• Provide evaluation for back office staff

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control practices
• Demonstrated leadership skills with previous supervisory or lead assistant roles in a dental setting
• Proficiency in electronic dental software systems; familiarity with medical coding and records management is preferred
• Expertise in chairside assisting across various dental specialties including pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics
• Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other medical imaging tools safely and effectively
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and educate patients clearly
• Certification in Dental Assisting (CDA) or equivalent; additional certifications in radiography or pediatric dentistry are advantageous
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of infection control using aseptic techniques and adhering to OSHA guidelines

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
