Lead Designer

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Lead Designer who can bridge big picture brand thinking with thoughtful, high-quality execution. This is a strategic creative leader who sets direction, elevates the work, and supports the growth of others. You are just as comfortable shaping a brand vision as you are rolling up your sleeves to bring it to life.

You bring a strong point of view, but you also know how to listen, collaborate, and build with others. You understand that great creative does not happen in isolation. It happens through partnership across Strategy, Account, Marketing, and Technology.

You are someone who sees around corners, connects ideas in unexpected ways, and pushes work from good to great. You care about the details, but you never lose sight of the outcome. This role combines elevated design craft, modern workflow expertise, and strategic problem-solving to deliver visually compelling work that aligns with client goals and user experience best practices. YOUR DAY TO DAY
  • Lead design execution for integrated campaigns across brand, digital, social, and marketing channels
  • Translate brand strategy into compelling, purposeful creative systems and executions
  • Partner closely with Strategy, Account, and Client teams to align creative with business goals
  • Guide projects from concept through execution, ensuring consistency, quality, and impact
  • Create high-quality user experiences, concepts and visual systems with strong attention to detail, usability and accessibility
  • Present work to clients and internal stakeholders, clearly articulating creative decisions and value
  • Mentor and develop designers, providing thoughtful feedback and helping elevate craft across the team
  • Review and refine work to ensure it meets Ideas Collide standards and client expectations
  • Contribute to building and evolving brand guidelines and scalable design systems
  • Actively participate in creative reviews, brainstorming sessions, and agency initiatives that support growth, culture, and innovation
  • Stay current on design trends, tools, and emerging technologies including AI driven creative
WHAT YOU BRING
  • 6 to 8 plus years of experience in graphic design or a related field, with leadership or mentorship experience
  • A portfolio that demonstrates strategic thinking and strong execution across brand and campaign work
  • Advanced proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and presentation tools
  • Experience working across multiple channels including digital, email, social, web, and print
  • Strong understanding of digital production workflows, brand systems, accessibility, and design principles
  • Ability to connect creative decisions to business outcomes
  • Experience leading or guiding other designers, formally or informally
  • Confidence presenting work and engaging directly with clients
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work across disciplines
  • Advanced knowledge of UX and UI principles and digital best practices inclusive of web and email
  • Excellent organizational, communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Comfort operating in a fast paced, evolving agency environment
