Lead Digitalization Engineer (Offshore)

Job Purpose:

To lead the planning, development, and implementation of digitalization initiatives across offshore oil and gas projects, enhancing operational efficiency, asset performance, and project delivery through innovative digital solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead digital transformation efforts for offshore oil & gas projects in alignment with company strategy.

• Develop and implement digital solutions such as digital twin, predictive analytics, AI/ML, and remote monitoring systems.

• Work closely with engineering, operations, and IT teams to identify opportunities for automation and digital integration.

• Manage digital project lifecycle: requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, and commissioning.

• Ensure cybersecurity, data integrity, and compliance with industry regulations.

• Interface with vendors and technology partners for digital tools and systems.

• Monitor KPIs and performance of digital systems post-implementation.

• Mentor junior engineers and support change management initiatives.

• Prepare and present reports, technical documents, and digital roadmaps to senior management.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Instrumentation, Electrical, Computer, or related field).

• 15+ years of experience in Oil & Gas, with at least 5 years in offshore project environments.

• Proven experience in digitalization, smart plant technologies, digital twins, or related fields.

• Strong knowledge of offshore operations, engineering processes, and project lifecycle.

• Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., ISO 15926, IEC 62443, NIST).

• Hands-on experience with platforms like AVEVA, AspenTech, PI System, or similar.
