About the Role
Molly’s Dog Care is looking for a professional dog trainer who is excited to help us continue to build a world-class training program — not just train dogs. We already offer successful training services, but we’re ready to elevate and expand. This role is perfect for a trainer who is entrepreneurial, proactive, creative, and passionate about becoming part of a fast-growing dog-care brand focused on hospitality, safety, transparency, and community education.

You’ll train dogs hands-on, help design our long-term curriculum, produce meaningful client communication, generate leads through relationship-building, create content that showcases training results, and collaborate with leadership to develop new classes, events, and educational resources.

What You’ll DoTraining & Curriculum Development

  • Train dogs using a balanced, humane, results-driven approach.
  • Help us continue to define our written training curriculum (program structure, expectations, weekly goals, private lesson outlines, goal-oriented programs, etc.).
  • Help launch new group classes (puppy, alumni, loose-leash walking, reactivity, social manners, CGC prep, etc.).
  • Identify new program opportunities and help expand our offerings.

Client Communication

  • Provide consistent, proactive communication during training programs (daily photos/notes, weekly summaries, progress videos).
  • Support pet parents before, during, and after programs — we are partners on their training journey.
  • Conduct take-home lessons and follow-ups with clarity, patience, and transparency.

Content Creation

  • Capture high-quality training content daily (photos, videos, recap clips).
  • Provide raw content to our marketing team for social, ads, and parent updates.
  • Showcase training progress that builds trust and generates leads.

Lead Generation & Community Presence

  • Engage with pet parents in the lobby during peak times.
  • Follow up with warm leads, past inquiries, and daycare clients who could benefit from training.
  • Attend local events, represent Molly’s, conduct training demos, and help ideate training-specific events.
  • Build authentic relationships in the community — we are not “salesy,” we are helpful and educational.

Program Growth & Internal Development

  • Help create Molly’s trainer development pathway for daycare staff interested in advancing.
  • Collaborate on community education (short-form tips, articles, 30-day challenges, seminar ideas).
  • Bring new ideas, experiment, iterate — we are a startup with a build-first culture.

What We’re Looking For

  • A trainer experienced in balanced training, e-collar and leash handling, behavior modification basics, and obedience foundations.
  • At least 3-5 years of professional dog training experience.
  • Someone who loves building, improving processes, and shaping a program from the ground up.
  • A warm communicator who aligns with our values of hospitality, safety, transparency, and trust.
  • Comfortable capturing and sharing content daily.
  • Confident working independently, collaborating with leadership, and being proactive with ideas, communication, and lead follow-up.
  • Someone who loves helping pet parents just as much as helping dogs.

Why Molly’s?

  • A mission-driven environment focused on elevating safety and hospitality in dog care.
  • A culture of transparency, collaboration, and doing what’s best for each individual dog.
  • Growing facility, growing clientele, and huge opportunities to shape the training department.
  • Supportive leadership and marketing team eager to help you succeed.
