Lead Early Childhood Educator

Moonbow Child is a Waldorf-inspired preschool nurturing curiosity, creativity, and connection in Jacksonville, Florida. We are seeking a Full-Time Early Childhood Program Lead to join our thoughtful, child-centered learning community.

This role is ideal for an experienced early childhood educator who values rhythm, intentional teaching, and building a calm, nurturing classroom culture.

Schedule

• Full-Time, year-round
• Monday–Friday
• 8:15 AM – 4:15 PM
• Target start by February (earlier start possible)

Compensation & Benefits

This position is paid monthly in a consistent, predictable stipend based on a full-time schedule, equivalent to $17.00–$20.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a warm, developmentally appropriate classroom environment
• Support curriculum inspired by Waldorf and child-led educational principles
• Establish consistent rhythms that support emotional safety and learning
• Observe, document, and support children’s growth and development
• Foster creativity, independence, and meaningful connection
• Collaborate with leadership and teaching teams
• Communicate professionally with families while maintaining discretion
• Ensure classroom practices meet licensing and program expectations

Qualifications

Preferred:

• Florida DCF 45-Hour Training
• Experience in a licensed early childhood education setting

Nice to Have:

• VPK Certification (DCF incentive available – $1,000)
• Director’s Credential
• Waldorf, Reggio, or alternative education experience or interest
