Lead Electrical Estimator

WSI Southwest, Inc., is a family-oriented small business based in Cliff, NM. We provide electrical support to commercial, residential, and industrial customers. We are seeking an experienced Lead Electrical Estimator to join our dynamic team!

Electrical Estimator – Commercial Construction

Currently seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to independently manage complex commercial projects. The ideal candidate has a proven track record handling multi-site jobs from takeoff to bid submission with minimal oversight and is ready to hit the ground running.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze electrical plans, specifications to produce accurate quantity takeoffs and comprehensive cost estimates.
• Identify design alternatives, value engineering opportunities, and constructability solutions.
• Prepare and manage bid proposals, including reviewing subcontractor and supplier quotes, documenting assumptions, and ensuring compliance with company and client standards.
• Provide independent support on projects with change order pricing, budget updates, and technical cost analysis.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure estimates align with operational and risk management requirements.

Qualifications & Skills

• Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator in commercial construction.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, installation methods, and applicable codes.
• Proficient with Accubid or equivalent estimating software.
• Ability to read and interpret complex drawings and make independent decisions.
• Self-motivated with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Comfortable managing large-scale, multi-site projects independently.

Experience

• Electrical field: 5 years (Required)
• Electrical estimating: 2 year (Required)

Working Conditions

• On- and off-site across multiple project locations.
• Fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Compensation

• $70,000 – $90,000 per year, based on experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $32.00 - $38.00 per hour
