Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate electrical installation, maintenance, and repair activities across multiple projects, ensuring timely and quality execution.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to guide installation and troubleshooting efforts.
- Supervise the use of hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as ohmmeters and NEC (National Electrical Code) standards to ensure safe and efficient work practices.
- Manage low voltage and high voltage electrical systems, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in industrial automation.
- Oversee compliance with safety protocols related to electrical work, including proper handling of power tools and adherence to construction site safety standards.
- Mentor junior electricians by providing guidance on technical tasks, schematics reading, and best practices in electrical installation.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to coordinate schedules, review plans, and resolve technical issues promptly.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an industrial or commercial electrician with a strong background in construction site environments.
- Extensive knowledge of electrical systems including low voltage, high voltage, NEC standards, schematics interpretation, and blueprint reading.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively while maintaining a focus on safety and quality standards.
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for industrial automation applications.
- Strong understanding of renovation projects involving electrical upgrades or modifications within existing structures.
- Valid electrician license or certification as required by local regulations; additional maintenance person or frame carpentry experience is a plus.
