The Reality Check
We aren’t looking for just another installer. We don’t need someone who waits around to be told what to do, and we don’t need someone who just pulls wire.
We need a leader.
Right now, Tri-Cities Electric is growing fast, and we are looking for a sharp, self-starting Master or Journeyman-level Electrician who can think on their feet, handle complex troubleshooting, and run a project from start to finish. If you want to punch a clock and coast, this isn't the job for you. But if you take pride in your craft, understand real-world electrical theory, and want to step into a true leadership role, keep reading.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose & Solve: Handle complex troubleshooting that leaves other electricians scratching their heads. You must deeply understand electrical theory and how to apply it in the field.
- Residential & Light Commercial Mastery: Most of our work is high-quality residential, but you need to be comfortable switching gears to handle small commercial jobs (service upgrades, small tenant fit-outs, light commercial remodels) when they pop up.
- Learn to Bid: You don’t need to be a master estimator on day one. We will personally train you on the TriCities Electric way of bidding and pricing jobs. You just need the drive, the math skills, and the sharp mind to learn it.
- Run the Ground Game & Client Relations: Act as the face of the company. You will manage the site, ensure work meets strict NEC standards, and communicate professionally with homeowners and business owners alike.
Non-Negotiable Requirements
- Licensing: You must hold a current Journeyman or Master Electrician license, OR possess the verifiable hours and qualifications to sit for and pass the exam within 90 days of employment. This is absolute and non-negotiable.
- The Mindset: You can work independently without a manager holding your hand. You see a problem, you create a solution.
- Experience: Strong background in residential field work, basic commercial knowledge, and a desire to learn the business side of the trade.
- Clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
What’s In It For You?
Because we are asking for the best, we expect to pay for the best.
- Top-tier hourly pay or salary (equivalent with your actual skill, not just years on paper).
- Professional mentorship: We will invest the time to teach you how to bid, price, and manage jobs profitably.
- Company vehicle / gas card.
- A clear path to a high-level management role as we continue to scale.
- Respect. You will be treated like the professional you are, with the autonomy to run your jobs your way.
Pay: $28.00 - $42.00 per hour
Benefits:
- Fuel card
- Paid time off
- Professional development assistance
Work Location: In person
