Lead Electronics Maintenance Technician

Position Summary

The Lead Electronics Maintenance Technician shall serve as the On-Site Lead and AOR Preventive Maintenance Administrator. In addition to supervising daily maintenance activities, the Lead is responsible for designing, managing, and administering a comprehensive and aggressive Preventative Maintenance (PM) Program across their respective hub and all associated satellite sites.

The location for this position is OCONUS in Doha, Qatar.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • The Lead ensures that the PM schedule is strictly followed to prevent equipment degradation in harsh desert environments, maintaining the technical health of SkyWatch XSF AT2 Watch Towers, MP5000 Portable Barriers, Slide/Drop Arm Barriers, and the Tactical Field Observation System (TFOS).
  • The Lead holds full authority over the logistics chain at the site level, responsible for ordering and maintaining an adequate stock of spare parts, specialized tooling, and testing equipment at all satellite locations to ensure zero-lag in repair capabilities.
  • The Lead ensures the team achieves a ≥95% FMC rate and manages the rectification of all service orders.
  • This role requires the ability to synchronize regional travel for maintenance missions while maintaining 98% property book accuracy in PBUSE.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Electronic or Mechanical Engineering is preferred; however, this educational requirement can be substituted for four (4) or more years of equivalent, hands-on experience in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of complex Electrical/Mechanical systems.
  • Must possess a background in one of the following MOS/Ratings (or service equivalent) at a minimum rank of E-5 or above:
    • USAF: 3E0X1 (Electrical Systems), 3E0X2 (Electrical Power Production), or 2A6X6 (Aircraft Electrical and Environmental Systems).
    • Army: 94W (Electronic Maintenance Supervisor), 94F (Computer/Detection Systems Repairer), or 91E (Allied Trades Specialist).
    • Navy: ET (Electronics Technician) or MM (Machinist's Mate) with documented leadership experience in technical work centers.
  • Minimum of 7 years in electronics; certified in NII/Screening technology, hydraulic systems, and automated vehicle barriers.
  • Program Administration: Must maintain 100% compliance with the AOR PM schedule; zero "missed" preventative maintenance cycles.
  • Equipment Readiness: Maintain a monthly average of ≥92% FMC; ensure SkyWatch and MP5000 systems never drop below 90% for >72 hours.
  • Logistics Accuracy: Maintain a 100% "Ready-Issue" status for critical spare parts and mission-essential tooling at satellite sites.
Citizenship and Security Clearance

  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • An active Secret Security Clearance is required.
  • Eligibility for regional travel visas.

Work Environment

  • Must be capable of lifting at least 50lbs.
  • Must be capable of standing and walking for long periods of time.
  • 25%-50% travel required.
