The Executive Recruitment team at Booking.com partners with all Booking Holdings brands to deliver exceptional leadership hires and build strong, diverse talent pipelines. Since the function was established, we’ve grown from our early successes into a trusted partner for senior hiring across the business, working closely with leaders to secure the talent that drives our strategy forward.
Our work goes beyond filling roles. We play a key role in succession risk management, partnering with Talent Management on succession planning to ensure our leadership bench is ready for the future. This role will be central to shaping the next stage of our journey and strengthening our impact across the company.
Job Summary:
The Executive Sourcing team is responsible for sourcing candidates for senior leadership (Director+ level) positions, and for providing Recruiters and Hiring Managers with relevant information to help them make hiring decisions.
The Lead Executive Sourcer is responsible for owning and managing the sourcing strategy for their focus areas in the US market. They have direct relationships with Executive Recruiters and senior business leaders and are the go-to for all things related to executive sourcing in their areas.
Depending on the mandate, the Lead Executive Sourcer will either:
Work in partnership with an Executive Recruiter, driving the sourcing strategy and delivery for senior leadership searches; or
Own and deliver end-to-end recruitment for Director-level leadership roles, from kick-off through to offer accepted.
The Lead Executive Sourcer leads and participates in strategic projects for the Executive Sourcing and Executive Recruitment teams, sets best practices around compliance and data management, and owns key sourcing deliverables. They are an expert in sourcing, liaising with the Talent Intelligence team to deliver actionable insights to Executive Recruiters and the business to enable better hiring decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for managing highly complex sourcing processes and strategies for business-critical searches in their focus areas.
For assigned Director-level searches, responsible for end-to-end recruitment delivery, from kick-off to offer accepted.
Lead kick-off meetings and prepare kick-off meeting notes, in collaboration with Executive Recruiters.
Lead mapping projects, calibration meetings, calibration lists, and candidate status reports, in collaboration with Recruiters.
Conduct applicant screening and pitch calls with sourced candidates.
Lead alignment meetings and feedback sessions, in collaboration with Recruiters.
Partner with Executive Recruiters and other Executive Sourcers to map target companies and top talent, and build out talent networks to develop an ongoing pipeline for high-priority needs.
Keep key stakeholders informed on search strategies, progress, and market insights.
Build and manage Talent Pools for assigned critical roles.
Analyze sectors for issues and trends, in collaboration with the Talent Intelligence team, and actively share insights across the organization.
Partner with the business, People teams, and top industry sources to identify target companies and maintain a database of executives within those companies.
Lead and/or participate in strategic projects in collaboration with Recruiters and other Sourcers.
Prioritize multiple searches and projects, managing time effectively in a fast-paced, evolving work environment.
Represent the business through social channels and proactively market jobs and business insights.
Ideal experience & skills:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
5–8 years of relevant experience, ideally with both high-end executive search firm and in-house executive recruitment experience.
Proven track record managing senior-level sourcing strategies and, where relevant, delivering end-to-end recruitment for leadership roles.
Advanced executive sourcing skills, organizational mapping, and relationship-based sourcing.
Strong company and market research skills, with the ability to deliver actionable insights.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work on multiple priorities simultaneously.
Customer-centric mindset and eagerness to learn.
There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. The range for this United States located role is 149,100 USD - 165,700 USD.
We offer a competitive base salary and benefits. This role is also eligible to be considered for an annual bonus.
