Wage: $12/hour

Shift: Part time. Mon-Sat. Hours vary, but some evenings required.

Summary: Come join our amazing team at Ashton Gardens! As a Guest Experiences Lead Explorer at the Ashton Gardens, you will serve and interact with our guests as they discover our 50-acre garden that includes 15 themed gardens and the largest manmade waterfall in the Western Hemisphere. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the daily operations of the venue and work alongside the Manager and Assistant Manager to train and develop our team members.


Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for assisting the managers in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the venue admissions to ensure remarkable guest services, clean and orderly environment, and promotion of other services, venues, and products at Thanksgiving Point.

  • Responsible for supporting the Thanksgiving Point mission, values, vision and commitment to the visitor experience and community engagement.

  • Help motivate, manage, mentor and train team members.

  • Support the growth of Thanksgiving Point's Membership program, keeping team members focused on making guests aware of the benefits of membership.

  • Handle and resolve guest complaints in a positive manner to ensure remarkable guest service.

  • Exemplify Thanksgiving Point?s Mission, Values, and Policies.

  • Other duties as assigned by manager/supervisor.


Requirements:

  • Experience in museums, customer service, hospitality and/or youth leadership.

  • One year of experience in a supervisory role.

  • Must have excellent organizational and verbal and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated independent decision-making skills as well as the ability to work effectively as a team member.

  • Ability to work evenings (approx. 3pm-9pm) during the week including Saturdays.

  • Physical ability to stand on feet for long periods of time, bend, twist, lift and manipulate small objects.

  • Positive attitude and the ability to be flexible and resilient in the face of change and a fast-paced work environment.

  • Must pass a background check.

  • Be at least 16 years old.
