Job Title: Lead Façade Design Engineer – Aluminum Systems

Position Overview

We are looking for a highly experienced Lead Façade Design Engineer – Aluminum Systems to oversee and drive façade design operations for major projects in Qatar. The selected candidate will be responsible for leading the technical design process, managing multidisciplinary teams, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering optimized façade solutions aligned with project timelines and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the full lifecycle of façade design from concept through IFC and shop drawing stages.
• Supervise and guide designers, engineers, and BIM modelers to ensure technical accuracy and productivity.
• Review façade calculations, system selections, structural analysis, and material specifications.
• Ensure compliance with Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS), international codes, and project-specific requirements.
• Coordinate closely with architects, consultants, contractors, and project management teams.
• Provide expert technical input on curtain wall systems, unitized façades, aluminum cladding, skylights, glazing, and architectural metal systems.
• Oversee value engineering initiatives and cost optimization strategies.
• Manage design deliverables, deadlines, and resource planning.
• Support procurement, fabrication, and site installation teams during execution phases.

QualificationsEducation

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or related field.

Experience

• 8+ years in façade and aluminum system design.
• Minimum 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Strong experience in Qatar or GCC façade projects.

Technical Expertise

• Advanced knowledge of curtain wall, stick systems, unitized façades, aluminum profiles, and glazing systems.
• Strong understanding of façade structural behavior, thermal performance, air/water testing standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (BIM experience preferred).
• Familiarity with QCS, ASTM, EN, BS standards, and local authority approvals.
