We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Lead Server to act as the "floor lead" during busy shifts. As a senior member of our front-of-house team, you will model excellent service standards, mentor new hires, and assist management in coordinating, pacing, and problem-solving to ensure a premium guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Floor Leadership & Operations: Lead pre-shift huddles to communicate specials, 86'd items, and service goals. Oversee the flow of the dining room, coordinating timing between the kitchen and servers to optimize table turns.
- Customer Experience & Recovery: Actively engage with guests, handling VIP tables, and resolving complex customer complaints or service issues immediately and professionally.
- Mentorship & Training: Train and mentor new servers on facility procedures, safety codes, POS system usage, and menu details.
- Administrative Support: Assist management with opening/closing checklists, balancing cash registers, and securing the building at the end of the shift.
- Menu & Sales Focus: Maintain deep knowledge of food and beverage offerings to provide recommendations and drive upselling of appetizers, desserts, and wine pairings.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure all FOH staff follow sanitation and safety standards, as well as alcohol service regulations.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: 2–3+ years of serving experience in high-volume or fine-dining restaurants.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead by example, with prior experience in training or supervisory roles preferred.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Point-of-Sale (POS) systems.
- Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to lead team members and interact with guests
- Availability: Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
