Lead Finish Painter – Residential & Commercial – $20-25 to start

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Lead Finish Painter to join our dynamic team, specializing in both residential and commercial painting projects. In this role, you will lead painting crews through high-quality finishing work, ensuring that every project meets our standards of excellence. Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate painting crews to execute residential and commercial finishing tasks efficiently and to exact specifications.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primer to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
• Apply paint, stain, varnish, and other finishes using hand tools, power tools, airless paint sprayers, and other equipment.
• Read blueprints, schematics, and detailed project plans to determine scope of work and required materials.
• Perform detailed trim carpentry, drywall finishing, stucco application, masonry repairs, and fixture installation as needed.
• Conduct quality inspections throughout projects to ensure smooth application and flawless results; address any touch-ups or corrections promptly.
• Maintain safety standards on construction sites by adhering to protocols related to scaffolding, welding, concrete finishing, and industrial painting practices.
• Assist with estimating project costs by understanding construction schematics and basic math calculations for materials and labor.
• Support renovation efforts by performing carpentry tasks such as framing or remodeling; utilize hand tools effectively for various construction needs.
• Ensure proper use of construction site safety procedures while managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Experience

• Proven experience in residential painting with a strong understanding of color theory and surface preparation techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team on commercial construction sites with knowledge of schematics and blueprint reading.
• Hands-on experience with various hand tools, power tools, airless spray equipment, welding equipment, and scaffolding setup.
• Familiarity with construction estimating processes including material calculations and project planning.
• Knowledge of plastering, stucco application, caulking, trim carpentry, restoration work, masonry repairs, concrete finishing, and industrial painting is highly desirable.
• Prior involvement in renovation projects or remodeling environments is preferred.
• Ability to interpret schematics or technical drawings related to fixture installation or maintenance tasks.
• Strong communication skills coupled with handyman experience for troubleshooting on-site issues effectively.
