Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young children. As a Lead Teacher, you will play a crucial role in shaping the educational experiences of preschool-aged children, promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
Duties
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to the diverse needs of students.
- Manage classroom activities effectively to create a positive learning atmosphere.
- Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
- Collaborate with parents and caregivers to support children's learning and development.
- Provide early intervention strategies for children who may need additional support.
- Foster literacy education through interactive reading sessions and literacy-rich activities.
- Organize physical education activities that promote health and wellness among students.
- Support special education initiatives by adapting lessons for children with diverse learning needs.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.
Skills
- Strong classroom management skills to maintain order and encourage positive behavior among students.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
- Experience in curriculum development tailored for preschool learners.
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Familiarity with daycare operations and best practices in child care.
- Understanding of literacy education techniques suitable for young learners.
- Skills in implementing early intervention strategies for developmental support.
- A background in physical education is beneficial but not required.
- Experience or training in special education is an asset.
