Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young children. As a Lead Teacher, you will play a crucial role in shaping the educational experiences of preschool-aged children, promoting their social, emotional, and cognitive development.

Duties

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to the diverse needs of students.
  • Manage classroom activities effectively to create a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
  • Collaborate with parents and caregivers to support children's learning and development.
  • Provide early intervention strategies for children who may need additional support.
  • Foster literacy education through interactive reading sessions and literacy-rich activities.
  • Organize physical education activities that promote health and wellness among students.
  • Support special education initiatives by adapting lessons for children with diverse learning needs.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment conducive to learning.

Skills

  • Strong classroom management skills to maintain order and encourage positive behavior among students.
  • Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
  • Experience in curriculum development tailored for preschool learners.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Familiarity with daycare operations and best practices in child care.
  • Understanding of literacy education techniques suitable for young learners.
  • Skills in implementing early intervention strategies for developmental support.
  • A background in physical education is beneficial but not required.
  • Experience or training in special education is an asset.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
