Job Summary
We are looking for a General Dentist to join our dental practice. This position involves providing a variety of dental services, including examinations, treatments, and patient consultations. The ideal candidate should posses strong clinical skills, a commitment to quality patient care, and the ability to work effectively within a team. Duties
- Perform a wide range of dental procedures including general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, oral surgery, and pediatric dentistry.
- Conduct patient assessments, diagnosis, and develop individualized treatment plans utilizing dental terminology and medical documentation standards.
- Lead and supervise dental staff, ensuring adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques.
- Utilize dental imaging technology and medical imaging tools to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Manage complex procedures such as root canal therapy, dental extractions, and dental fabrication with precision and care.
- Maintain comprehensive medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure accurate documentation of patient care.
- Educate patients on oral health practices, treatment options, and post-treatment care using clear medical terminology.
- Oversee the implementation of infection control measures and ensure the clinic adheres to all safety standards.
- Collaborate with team members to improve workflow efficiency using software platforms such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix.
- Stay current with advancements in dentistry by participating in ongoing professional development.
Experience
- Proven experience working in a dental office or clinic setting with a strong background in general dentistry and specialized fields such as pediatric dentistry, endodontics, or prosthodontics.
- Demonstrated proficiency with dental software including Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix is preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy knowledge related to oral structures, infection control practices, and medical imaging techniques.
- Prior experience supervising or leading a dental team is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA compliance and medical documentation standards.
- Hands-on experience performing dental extractions, root canal therapy, dental fabrication, and other advanced procedures is essential for this leadership role.
