Geometallurgical Modeling / Ore Characterization
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve the geometallurgical framework linking ore types to processing behavior (grindability, sulphur, recovery, reagent consumption).
- Build and maintain geometallurgical datasets supporting short-, medium-, and long-term planning.
- Provide predictive insights on ore behavior to support mine planning, blending, and processing strategies..
Blending / Processing Support
- Work closely with mining and processing teams to define optimal ore blends, considering sulphur content, gold grade, hardness, and metallurgical response.
- Support POX feed stability through proactive ore type management and forward-looking metallurgical predictions.
- Translate geological variability into practical, operational guidance for daily and weekly production planning.
Testwork / Laboratory Oversight
- Define and oversee metallurgical testwork programs (grindability, leach tests, GRG, reagent optimization).
- Ensure QA/QC protocols are applied consistently across all metallurgical testwork and laboratory activities.
- Supervise laboratory workflows, equipment calibration, and data validation..
Operational Performance / Continuous Improvement
- Analyze plant performance data against ore characteristics and blends to identify improvement opportunities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing recovery, reducing reagent consumption, and improving plant stability.
- Contribute geometallurgical input to technical reports, forecasts, and management dashboards..
Cross-Functional Integration
- Act as the technical interface between Geology, Mining, Processing, and MRM functions.
- Participate in regular operational meetings to communicate expected ore behavior and associated risks.
- Provide geometallurgical input into technical studies, life-of-mine planning, and future ore source evaluations.
