Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Lead Glazier to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and eager to master the craft of glass installation. Experience in glazing or construction is a mandatory.

Key Responsibilities1. Installation Excellence

  • Perform and lead installation of frameless glass showers, wine cellars, mirrors, railings, and partitions according to company specifications.
  • Ensure all measurements, cuts, and seals are accurate and clean.
  • Troubleshoot issues on-site and communicate solutions promptly.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and uphold the company’s reputation on every job site.

2. Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead and train installers or apprentices, modeling best practices for quality, safety, and customer service.
  • Assign daily tasks, delegate responsibilities, and monitor progress.
  • Maintain accountability for completion times, accuracy, and job quality.
  • Foster teamwork and communication with both field and office teams.

3. Job Site Coordination

  • Review job details, drawings, and materials before arrival.
  • Communicate with homeowners, builders, and general contractors professionally.
  • Ensure job sites are clean and safe before, during, and after work.
  • Document completed jobs with photos and notes in Jobber (or other CRM system).

4. Quality Control & Safety

  • Verify installations meet Austin Shower Glass quality standards.
  • Identify and report material defects or order discrepancies.
  • Adhere to OSHA and company safety protocols at all times.
  • Perform regular equipment checks and maintain tools in working order.

5. Communication & Reporting

  • Communicate with the owner on job status, timelines, and potential issues.
  • Log time, materials, and notes accurately in the CRM.
  • Assist with measuring, templating, and coordinating future installations as needed.

Performance Standards (Results Expected)

  • Jobs completed with 98% accuracy (minimal rework or callbacks).
  • Maintain an average installation completion time within company benchmarks.
  • Positive customer feedback and zero unresolved complaints.
  • Consistent adherence to safety and quality procedures.
  • Contribute to training and onboarding of new installers.

  • Quality and timeliness of installations.
  • Proper documentation in CRM.
  • Safe and professional work practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Safely transport and handle glass, tools, and materials
  • Maintain a clean and organized worksite and vehicle
  • Follow safety procedures and company standards
  • Learn to read drawings and specifications for installation accuracy
  • Communicate professionally with team members and customers

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in glazing,
  • Ability to lift 75+ lbs and work on ladders
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
  • Punctual, dependable, and team-oriented
