Overview
We are seeking an experienced Lead HVAC Installer to run residential system replacements and new installations throughout South Florida. This position is responsible for leading a two- to three-man crew, ensuring installations are completed correctly, on time, and inspection-ready.
The Lead Installer is accountable for job quality, crew performance, customer experience, and protecting company margins. This is not an entry-level role. We are looking for someone who can take full ownership of the install from start to finish.
Work is performed in residential homes under South Florida heat conditions, including attic work and outdoor condenser installations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage residential HVAC system replacements and installs
- Oversee removal and disposal of existing equipment
- Install air handlers, condensers, duct modifications, refrigerant lines, and ventilation components
- Perform brazing, pressure testing, evacuation, charging, and system startup
- Ensure installations meet Florida building codes and manufacturer specifications
- Maintain job documentation, material usage, and completion photos
- Train and develop helpers and junior installers
- Communicate professionally with homeowners and supervisors
- Protect company profitability by minimizing callbacks and material waste
Qualifications
- 2+ years of residential HVAC installation experience
- Prior leadership experience running installation crews
- Strong understanding of airflow, duct design, and system performance
- Proficient in brazing, evacuation, charging, and system commissioning
- EPA Certification required
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to work in attics and outdoor heat conditions
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 55 per week
