We’re seeking a
Lead HR Business Partner
to act as a trusted advisor to business and functional leaders across the U.S. This role combines strategic partnership with hands-on HR execution, leading a team of HR Generalists while driving organizational effectiveness, engagement, and compliance. Reporting to the VP of HR for North America, this individual will align people strategy with business goals and oversee all aspects of the employee lifecycle across multiple states.
Key Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of HR Generalists, ensuring consistent, high-quality HR operations.

Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, performance management, compensation, investigations, accommodations, and offboarding.

Manage key HR programs and processes such as annual and quarterly performance reviews, policy updates, HR tools implementation, and payroll change reviews.

Partner with leadership on workforce planning, succession planning, engagement, and learning and development initiatives.

Manage employee relations issues including PIPs, RIFs, and compliance investigations while ensuring adherence to federal and state employment laws.

Collaborate with internal and external auditors on compliance and process audits.

Support change management, restructuring, and HR policy evolution as the organization scales.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).

SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR certification required.

Strong Excel skills and data-driven decision-making ability.

Minimum 7 years of HR experience, including at least 4 years in a senior advisory or HR Business Partner role.

Proven experience managing HR across multiple states.

Hands-on experience with performance management, HRIS systems, payroll changes, and compliance audits.

Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
Preferred Background

Career progression from HR Generalist or Senior HR Generalist into HR Business Partner or People Business Partner roles.

Experience in SaaS, technology, or professional services environments preferred.

Solid understanding of OSHA, workers’ compensation, and U.S. labor law compliance.
