Lead HVAC Installer (Commercial/Residential)

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead HVAC Installer to join our team, specializing in both commercial and residential heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. As a Lead Installer, you will oversee the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of HVAC systems, ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. Your expertise will drive project success from start to finish, guiding team members and coordinating with clients to deliver efficient climate control solutions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead technical projects, apply your mechanical knowledge, and contribute to building comfortable environments for our clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead the installation of HVAC systems in commercial and residential settings, ensuring adherence to schematics, blueprints, and design specifications.
• Supervise and mentor a team of installers, providing technical guidance and quality assurance throughout each project phase.
• Read and interpret HVAC schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings to execute precise installations.
• Perform system start-up, testing, calibration, and troubleshooting to verify proper operation.
• Coordinate with project managers, property owners, and other trades such as plumbing or refrigeration specialists to ensure seamless project execution.
• Conduct equipment repair and maintenance tasks on HVAC units, and refrigeration systems.
• Utilize tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment for diagnostics and repairs while maintaining safety standards at all times.

Skills

• Extensive construction experience with a focus on HVAC installation and service technician skills.
• Strong mechanical knowledge of HVAC/R (refrigeration) systems, boilers, air conditioning units, and appliance repair.
• Proficiency in reading schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals related to HVAC design.
• Hands-on experience with field service operations including property maintenance and equipment repair.
• Knowledge of plumbing systems as they relate to HVAC setups; familiarity with ammonia refrigeration is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
